School Chaplaincy in Tasmania is an initiative of the Tasmanian Council of Churches through its Chaplaincy Working Group, supported by Scripture Union .

The Chaplain is funded and supervised by SU in conjunction with the local chaplaincy committee (LCC). Some Chaplains also receive some funding from the Federal government. They conform to all requisite Education Department guidelines. They also receive training and are authorised as persons suitable for working with children, with all the necessary background & police checks done. The LCC makes regular appraisals of their work and supports them pastorally as well.

You may be sure your children are in safe hands with a Scripture Union Chaplain!
