Mummy, they want bridge builders, observed my son James when he was little. He was right. There is no racism in little children and there is none in Jesus. WE are all made equal and WE are all God's precious children. WE need to listen to our black brothers and sisters and LOVE them.

The greatest command is love. Don't listen to the media. Go straight to the people themselves. I learnt this at Connections when I heard Joy and Vince Ross speak.

Our beautiful people were treated with one of the world's greatest attrocities. Now is the time to make a stand. Imagine being too afraid to say "I'm Aboriginal." They are here in our community. Acknowlege them. It's no longer about colour, but about spirit.

The torn paper of my artwork represents Aboriginal people and their culture, and how another culture tried to take it away. It's up to all of us to build the bridge.
